Attending a Retreat: What to Expect
πͺ· Take refuge in quieting practices, strengthen your spirit, bring yourself back to center. Establish or strengthen daily meditation and mind-body practice in your own home with the support of a warm, dedicated online community and a highly skilled, experienced, certified, and down-to-earth instructor.
πͺ· All retreat sessions are held on Zoom. A pre-retreat handout is provided with tips and guidance for creating a supportive at-home meditation space.
πͺ· Participants choose their own level of participation to accommodate their personal schedule, aspirations, and needs at this time. Participants may arrive late to sessions or leave early as needed. Examples of how you might design your retreat week:
πΉ Attend a once or twice per day practice
πΉ Attend one full day or two full days of retreat
πΉ Participate in the complete schedule (4 sessions per day for 5 days)
πΉ As many practice sessions as you like on as many days as you like
πͺ· Sessions include seated meditation (on chair or cushion), gentle moving meditation (gentle yoga stretching, qigong, and lujong), lying-down meditation and progressive relaxation, breath-work, and practices for building self-compassion and equanimity. The first day of retreat features a 75-minute Deep Rest Yoga Nidra session. A standard full retreat schedule is listed below.
πͺ· During the course of retreat, participants are encouraged to contact the retreat instructor with any questions or challenges that come up. The closing session on Thursday mid-day offers an opportunity for personal and group reflection. There is also a forum for participants to share online written reflections with the fellow participants and the instructor during the retreat (optional).
πͺ· When registering, participants have the option to include a post-retreat private session on Zoom with the retreat instructor to reflect, debrief, explore struggles and insights, and ask follow-up questions.

π SLIDING SCALE REGISTRATION π If cost is a barrier, sliding scale registration is always available for quarterly retreats and a link is provided on the retreat registration page.
