Summer At-Home Retreat

Sunday August 10th — Thursday August 14th

Take refuge in quieting practices, strengthen your spirit, bring yourself back to center. Establish a daily practice in your own home with the support of a compassionate and caring online community.

What to Expect

🪷 All retreat sessions are held on Zoom. A pre-retreat handout is provided with tips and guidance for creating a supportive at-home meditation space.

🪷 Participants choose their own level of participation to accommodate their personal schedule, aspirations, and needs at this time. Examples of how you might design your retreat week:

🔹 Once or twice per day practice

🔹 Skip a day as needed

🔹 Attend one or two full days

🔹 Participate in the full schedule (4 – 5 sessions per day)

 🔹 As many practice sessions as you like on as many days as you like

🪷 Sessions include seated meditation (on chair or cushion), gentle moving meditation (gentle yoga, qigong, and lujong), lying-down meditation and progressive relaxation, breath-work, and practices for building compassion and equanimity. The first day of retreat features a 75-minute Deep Rest Yoga Nidra session including a gentle sound bath with quartz singing bowls. The full retreat schedule is listed below.

🪷 Participants may arrive late to sessions or leave early as needed.

🪷  During the course of retreat, participants are encouraged to contact the retreat instructor with any questions or challenges that come up. The closing session on Thursday morning offers an opportunity for personal and group reflection. Participants may also share online written reflections with the group during the retreat (optional).

🪷  When registering, participants can choose to include a post-retreat private session with the retreat instructor to reflect, debrief, explore struggles and insights, and ask follow-up questions.
