
Monday mornings, 11am – Noon
With the support of core-focused breathing, Mindful Pilates builds overall fitness while strengthening and stretching all major muscle groups. This class will help you to improve core strength, muscle tone, back health, joint stability, bone density, coordination, circulation, and stabilization of the low back, hips, and pelvis. Strengthening exercise done with the support of healthy breathing is highly effective for boosting mood, energy levels, and brain health. During the upper-body strengthening portion of the Monday class, participants have the option to incorporate light weights (1 or 2-pound dumbbells recommended to begin, with the option to build up gradually to 3 – 5 pounds). These practices can also be done without weights while still building muscle tone and overall upper body strength.
Beginners are welcome. Move at your own pace and honor your body’s needs while exploring what is possible.
This is an online weekly class offered via ZOOM, which is an easy-to-use online conference space that you can access via your phone, tablet, or computer. Students will receive once-per-week emails containing a secure link to access the class.
